Shift Price Changes and Invoicing

Changes to the fee can happen for various reasons, here's how to ensure your invoice is generated correctly.

Last updated on 18 Jul, 2025

When Do Price Changes Occur?

Sometimes, the agreed fee for a shift changes after it has been booked. This may happen due to changes in shift length, renegotiated rates, or updates from the practice. How you handle this depends on the type of shift.

External Shifts

If the fee changes before the invoice is generated, you can update the shift directly in your account by editing the entry.

Accepted Shifts

If the shift was booked through GP Wales, you cannot edit the fee directly. Instead, you will need to raise a fee query. If the change is not addressed before the invoice is issued, the adjustment will only appear in the next month’s invoice.

Common Issues with Price Changes

Incorrect fee shown on invoice
This typically results from outdated or incorrect data being entered or synced.

Solution: Confirm the agreed rate when entering the shift (for external shifts), or raise a fee query if the shift was booked through the platform.
